Number of Aircraft Using Syrian Airspace Rises by 30%

The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority has announced a significant increase in the number of aircraft using the country’s airspace in July 2026 compared with the previous month.

According to the published figures, the number of aircraft transiting Syrian airspace increased from 15,620 in June to 20,315 in July, representing a 30.1% month-on-month rise.

Officials said the increase indicates that more airlines are choosing Syrian airspace as a transit corridor. They also noted that transit traffic through the country’s airspace has continued to grow steadily in recent months.
